Starting Monday, June 13th, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's annual Chamber Member Appreciation Week. During this week, the Chamber celebrates all of it's members but also highlights it's milestone members. The Chamber even was able to highlight three milestone members this week with a few videos to tell their stories. These stories included Burnham Rentals, ForthPhaze Technology, Inc., and Choice Realty & Management.
Throughout the week, Chamber Ambassador's visited milestone member's businesses to thank them for their membership. Lastly, on Friday, June 17th, the Chamber hosted an Open House at the Chamber office's to celebrate member's businesses and their support of the Chamber. And a special thank you to Jimmy John's, Roly Poly, Kroger, and Crumbl Cookies for the food during the open house, Harris Services, Pfenninger Photography, and Building Associates, Inc., for the donated prizes, Master Rental for the donated party supplies, and to Develefy Consulting. Thank you to all of the Chamber Members for their dedicated memebrship!On Thursday, June 16, 2022, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's monthly Business After Hours in partnership with the Cancer Support Community. On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce's affinity group, Bloomington Women in Leadership, hosted Indiana University's first woman president, Pamela Whitten, at Henke Hall at the Indiana University Memorial Stadium. There was a presentation by President Whitten, followed by a Q&A session. In attendance were some young participants from Girls, Inc. The presentation was about President Whitten's journey and what lead her to the leadership position she is in today. The women, and young participants in attendance were able to learn how they could apply President Whitten's strategies to their own leadership journeys. Photos from the event are below.
