The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held its 110th Annual Meeting and Community Awards presented by: Old National Bank on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Monroe Convention Center.
This meeting provides an exclusive year-in-review, highlighting our combined triumphs, showcasing noteworthy member achievements, and offering a comprehensive insight into the future direction of The Chamber. This opportunity allows you to be in sync with our strategic vision, positioning you to better leverage the Chamber's resources in the upcoming year. Attendees also heard from the keynote speaker, last year's Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Jeff Baldwin. The Annual Meeting & Community Awards is the platform where we honor our members who have significantly contributed to our shared success. Those nominated for a variety of prestigious awards are given the limelight they deserve. These esteemed members are profiled in special video interviews, sharing insights into their businesses and organizations. Witnessing their journeys first-hand offers an opportunity for learning, inspiration, and networking – a chance to forge stronger relationships and understand successful business strategies. The Chamber recognized several honorees during the awards portion of the event. The 2025 Community Award award winners included: Chamber Ambassador of the Year – Sandra McGow, Bell Trace Senior Living Community Chamber Ambassador Chair – Terri Horne, Callie & Company Entertainment Best of the Best – Morgenstern Books New Business of the Year – Heartwork Brewing Company Business of the Year Award – Stonecroft Health Campus Community Anchor Award – Master Rental 4 Under 40 – Anne Lloyd (Indiana University), Jordan Davis (The Chocolate Moose), Melanie Vehslage (Youth Services Bureau), and Sydney Zulich (Bloom Magazine) Outstanding Educators - Kristina Cowden (Edgewood Intermediate School), Angie Evans (Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship), Dee Minnick (Edgewood Primary School), Ashley Sotomayor (Summit Elementary School) Lifetime Achievement Award – Cary Curry, Curry Auto Center

The Chamber recognized several honorees during the awards portion of the event. The 2024 Community Award award winners included: Chamber Ambassador of the Year – Terri Horne, Callie & Company Entertainment Chamber Ambassador Chair – Sandra McGow, Bell Trace Senior Living Community Best of the Best – Hurlow Wealth Management Group New Business of the Year – Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance - The Barrett Agency Business of the Year Award – Weddle Brothers Construction Companies Community Anchor Award – Constellation Stage & Screen 4 Under 40 – Cortnie Jamison, Village Caregiving; Kate Kamel, Boston Scientific; Rish Naran, Andy Mohr Honda/Hyundai; and Michael Waterford, Ivy Tech Community College Outstanding Educators - Tyler Abel, Summit Elementary School; Marcus Debro, Bloomington HS North; Molly Giddens, Batchelor Middle School; and Lindsey Owens, Edgewood Primary School Lifetime Achievement Award – Jeff Baldwin, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington For over two decades, The Chamber’s Success School has championed excellence in education with the annual awards ceremony, which recognizes the best teachers and programs in accredited schools across Monroe County. This year eight educators, one educational program, and one lifetime achievement recipient were honored in a community celebration at the 22nd Annual Educator of the Year Awards held on the evening of Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington, Shreve Hall. The program featured student-led entertainment with a performance from the cast of “Into the Woods” from Bloomington High School South. For over two decades now, The Chamber’s Success School has championed excellence in education with the annual awards ceremony, which recognizes the best teachers and programs in accredited schools across Monroe County. This year eight educators, one educational program, and one lifetime achievement recipient were honored in a community celebration at the 21st Annual Educator of the Year Awards that was held on the evening of Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington’s Shreve Hall. The program featured student-led entertainment with a performance from the Tri-North Jazz Band. Outstanding Educators
