Canopy Bloomington is a social impact organization whose mission is to grow and sustainably manage Bloomington's urban forest for the many environmental, health, economic, and social benefits of trees with a focus on tree equity and community engagement. They help to grow the canopy on private or non-city-owned or managed land, for example, schools, places of worship, and neighborhoods. Visit their website at www.canopybloomington.org if you are looking to get involved with Canopy Bloomington or want to know more about their efforts, they have a monthly newsletter that goes out with all their volunteer opportunities for the community to get involved.
