The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held its 109th Annual Meeting and Community Awards presented by: Old National Bank on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Monroe Convention Center.
The Chamber recognized several honorees during the awards portion of the event. The 2024 Community Award award winners included: Chamber Ambassador of the Year – Terri Horne, Callie & Company Entertainment Chamber Ambassador Chair – Sandra McGow, Bell Trace Senior Living Community Best of the Best – Hurlow Wealth Management Group New Business of the Year – Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance - The Barrett Agency Business of the Year Award – Weddle Brothers Construction Companies Community Anchor Award – Constellation Stage & Screen 4 Under 40 – Cortnie Jamison, Village Caregiving; Kate Kamel, Boston Scientific; Rish Naran, Andy Mohr Honda/Hyundai; and Michael Waterford, Ivy Tech Community College Outstanding Educators - Tyler Abel, Summit Elementary School; Marcus Debro, Bloomington HS North; Molly Giddens, Batchelor Middle School; and Lindsey Owens, Edgewood Primary School Lifetime Achievement Award – Jeff Baldwin, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington

On Thursday, August 22, 2024, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's 14th annual Women Excel Bloomington awards ceremony at One World at Woolery Mill. With over 250 attendees, our five award winners were able to celebrate all that they have accomplished. The 2024 Women Excel Bloomington award winners are: Leslie Abshier, Michelle Cole, Dr. Gloria Howell, Samantha Morran, and the Mae Cassady Lifetime Achievement recipient Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan.

With over 250 attendees, our five award winners were able to celebrate all that they have accomplished. The 2023 Women Excel Bloomington award winners are: Dr. Kelly Clark, Hope Kaser, Lauren McCalister, Gillian Thiebe, and Nicole White. A special honorary award was also given to the family of Mae Cassady to celebrate her exemplifying a legacy of excellence. For over two decades, The Chamber’s Success School has championed excellence in education with the annual awards ceremony, which recognizes the best teachers and programs in accredited schools across Monroe County. This year eight educators, one educational program, and one lifetime achievement recipient were honored in a community celebration at the 22nd Annual Educator of the Year Awards held on the evening of Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington, Shreve Hall. The program featured student-led entertainment with a performance from the cast of “Into the Woods” from Bloomington High School South. This year, the Chamber was back fully in person at the Monroe County Convention Center.

Stephan, Indiana University Diane Breeden-Lee Catalyst Award – Morgenstern Books The Board's Legacy Award - Smithville Lifetime Achievement Award – George Walker, WFIU Starting Monday, June 13th, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's annual Chamber Member Appreciation Week. During this week, the Chamber celebrates all of it's members but also highlights it's milestone members. The Chamber even was able to highlight three milestone members this week with a few videos to tell their stories. These stories included Burnham Rentals, ForthPhaze Technology, Inc., and Choice Realty & Management.
Throughout the week, Chamber Ambassador's visited milestone member's businesses to thank them for their membership. Lastly, on Friday, June 17th, the Chamber hosted an Open House at the Chamber office's to celebrate member's businesses and their support of the Chamber. And a special thank you to Jimmy John's, Roly Poly, Kroger, and Crumbl Cookies for the food during the open house, Harris Services, Pfenninger Photography, and Building Associates, Inc., for the donated prizes, Master Rental for the donated party supplies, and to Develefy Consulting. Thank you to all of the Chamber Members for their dedicated memebrship!On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's 12th annual Women Excel Bloomington awards ceremony at the Indiana Memorial Union's Alumni Hall. With over 150 attendees, our seven award winners were able to celebrate all that they have accomplished. The 2022 Women Excel Bloomington award winners are: Danielle Bruce, Jennifer Crossley, Kaisa Goodman, Ashley Hazelrig, Amy Meek, Erika Oliphant, and Karin St. John. We were fortunate enough to have such support from our sponsors and our community. For over two decades now, The Chamber’s Success School has championed excellence in education with the annual awards ceremony, which recognizes the best teachers and programs in accredited schools across Monroe County. This year eight educators, one educational program, and one lifetime achievement recipient were honored in a community celebration at the 21st Annual Educator of the Year Awards that was held on the evening of Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington’s Shreve Hall. The program featured student-led entertainment with a performance from the Tri-North Jazz Band. The Chamber's Foundation, The Success School, held its annual STEM & Life Sciences Career Fair on Tuesday, November 9th hosted by Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington Cook Center. The Career Fair was held through Zoom and the videos will be held through The Success School's YouTube. The Success School thanks its sponsors, Cook Group, Indiana University, Chase Bank, Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington, and IU Credit Union.
