Bloomington Women in Leadership: Brewing Stronger Conversations: Empowering Feedback as Fuel11/20/2025 On Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, Bloomington Women in Leadership (BWIL) hosted a special “Bruncheon” event, Brewing Stronger Conversations: Empowering Feedback as Fuel, at Ivy Tech Community College’s Shreve Hall. Led by 2025 WEB Award Winner Amanda Shettlesworth, MBA, SHRM-CP, PHR, this empowering session focused on turning feedback into a powerful tool for personal and professional growth. Through engaging discussion and practical takeaways, attendees learned how to seek development opportunities, advocate to be heard, and coach others with confidence and positivity. Learn more at: altcaresolutions.com The 3rd Annual Career Cruise was held on November 6, 2025, at the Monroe Convention Center with almost 1000 middle school students from Monroe County. Students visited four ports on the cruise, interacting with 50 businesses and organizations to learn about various careers available right here in Monroe County! Many thanks to Boston Scientific, Solution Tree, IU Credit Union, Callie & Company Entertainment, Cook Medical, IU Health Bloomington, Simtra BioPharma Solutions, and TASUS for making this event possible! In collaboration with the Bloomington Rotary Club, Futurecast: Bloomington gathered a panel of economic experts from IU’s Kelley School of Business, and local leaders on Tuesday, November 4th at Ivy Tech Community College's Shreve Hall. This panel of experts imparted valuable insights, offering attendees a comprehensive forecast of the economic outlook for the coming year at federal, state, county, and city levels. The Kelley School of Business, based on research from its Indiana Business Research Center, has been sharing its economic forecasts throughout the state of Indiana for the past 50 years, which has provided crucial economic information needed by many Indiana businesses, government, and nonprofit organizations. This event gave the audience a chance to hear and interact with several of the state's leading economic thinkers as they discuss how the changing economic environment will affect the local region, Indiana, and the nation in the coming year. The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce's Success School hosted a High School Career Exploration, Intern, and Employment Fair at Edgewood High School (EHS) on October 28th. There were 20-25 local organizations from all sectors that offered opportunities for current high school students. At the Fair, organizations were able to interact with high school students about the career opportunities open to them now or in the future. See photos from the event below!
