Since beginning as a series of pop-up events in 2013, Gather has grown into a vibrant creative marketplace representing more than 400 artists from around the world. More than a retail shop, Gather has become a community destination for local art, workshops, gallery events, and meaningful connections. This relaunch marks the next chapter in its evolution, bringing a refreshed vision while continuing to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and community.

We were excited to celebrate Tropical Smoothie Cafe on West 3rd Street with a ribbon cutting ceremony and officially welcome their team to the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers fresh, made-to-order smoothies, bowls, wraps, flatbreads, sandwiches, and more, with options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or something refreshing on the go. The West 3rd Street location brings another convenient dining option to Bloomington’s west side while creating jobs and becoming part of the neighborhood and local business community.

Congratulations to Monroe County CASA!

We were honored to celebrate Monroe County CASA's new home in Fountain Square with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Monroe County CASA recruits, trains, and supports court-appointed volunteers who advocate for children involved in the legal system due to abuse or neglect. Their volunteers work to ensure every child has a voice in court and the opportunity to find a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible. The organization's new, larger office will provide additional space to support future growth and meet the increasing need for CASA's services throughout our community.

We were proud to celebrate Mirth's expansion with a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new downtown Bloomington location.

For the past eight years, Mirth has provided customers with a thoughtfully curated shopping experience featuring women's clothing, accessories, and elevated customer service. After outgrowing three previous locations, the boutique has expanded into a space twice the size, creating a more comfortable shopping environment and allowing for an even broader collection of carefully selected goods.

We were excited to celebrate My Sister's Closet and the opening of its new location at College Mall with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

My Sister's Closet is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women in poverty and at-risk circumstances achieve economic self-sufficiency through professional support services, career development, mentoring, life skills training, advocacy, and its Compassion Through Fashion clothing program. The new locations will expand opportunities to serve women in our community while furthering the organization's mission of reducing homelessness and breaking the cycle of multi-generational poverty.

We were proud to celebrate Morgenstern Books' five-year anniversary as a Chamber member with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Inspired by Bloomington's beloved independent bookstore of the 1990s, Morgenstern Books reopened five years ago to once again provide the community with a locally owned, independent bookstore. Today, it has grown into the largest independent bookstore in Indiana, offering books, events, and shared experiences that foster learning, connection, and a love of reading.
