The Chamber's Annual Meeting & Community Awards Nominations

2024 Community Award Winners

The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Meeting and Community Awards on Thursday, September 11, 2025, 5:30-8:00pm, at the Monroe County Convention Center. We invite our members to submit their nominations for several awards, which will be presented during the Annual Meeting.

As a member of The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, we encourage you to submit your nomination(s) for our Community Awards. This year there are seven categories for your consideration:​

• New Business of the Year
• Business of the Year
• Community Anchor

• 4 Under 40 Awards
• Outstanding Educator Awards
• Ambassador of the Year
• Lifetime Achievement Award

Community Award Categories & Criteria

• The nominee must be a member of The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, or employed by a member organization/business. "4 Under 40" is exempt from this.
• A person/organization may be nominated in more than one category. However each nomination must be submitted separately.
• Please share why the nominee is deserving of the award. (It’s better to include too much information than not enough.)
• Do not let a deserving nominee be overlooked! Even if you are not certain of all of the information or if you do not have enough time to complete the form, complete what you can and Chamber staff can assist with additional details.
• Please submit your nomination by Monday, July 28th at 5:00pm.

New Business of the Year

Recognizes a business or organization that has existed for less than five years.

Business of the Year

Recognizes a business or organization that has existed for five years or more. 

Community Anchor

Recognizes a business,  organization, or individual that has contributed positively to the local community over a sustained period.

Ambassador of the Year

Recognizes on of the last year's ambassadors at going above and beyond.

Outstanding Educator Awards

Recognizes an individual teacher, program director, counselor, administrator, or staff member at Monroe County Community School Corporation or Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation.

4 Under 40

Recognizes young professionals that make a significant impact within their organization through their leadership and work ethic, while also giving back to the community through civic involvement. 
**The nominees must be younger than 40 years of age before August 1, 2025.
**The nominees must not have won the award in the past (see list of past recipients here).
