The Chamber's Annual Meeting & Community Awards Nominations

2025 Community Award Winners

The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Meeting and Community Awards on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, 5:30-8:00pm, at the Bloomington Convention Center. We invite our members to submit their nominations for several awards, which will be presented during the Annual Meeting.

As a member of The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, we encourage you to submit your nomination(s) for part of our Community Awards. This year there are six categories for your consideration:​

• New Business of the Year
• Business of the Year
• Community Anchor

• 4 Under 40 Awards
• Best Places to Work
• Lifetime Achievement Award

Nominations will close Friday, August 7th.

Community Award Categories & Criteria

• The nominee must be a member of The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, or employed by a member organization/business. "4 Under 40" is exempt from this.
• The nominee cannot have won that category in previous years. "Best Places to Work" is exempt from this.
• A person/organization may be nominated in more than one category. However each nomination must be submitted separately.
• Please share why the nominee is deserving of the award (It’s better to include too much information than not enough!).
• Please submit your nomination by Friday, August 7th at 5:00pm.

Nomination Criteria

New Business of the Year

Recognizes a business or organization that has existed for less than five years.

Business of the Year

Recognizes a business or organization that has existed for five years or more. 

Community Anchor

Recognizes a business,  organization, or individual that has contributed positively to the local community over a sustained period.

Best Places to Work

Recognizes the area’s best employers and provide organizations with valuable employee feedback. 
**Open to any Chamber business with at least 6 full-time employees (or the equivalent) located within Monroe County.

Nominations for Best Places to Work must fill out a separate form here.

4 Under 40

Recognizes young professionals that make a significant impact within their organization through their leadership and work ethic, while also giving back to the community through civic involvement. 
**The nominees must be younger than 40 years of age before August 1, 2026.
**The nominees must not have won the award in the past (see list of past recipients here).

Lifetime Achievement Award

Recognizes individuals who have had an immeasurable impact on our community over a sustained period.
