We recently completed a comprehensive update of our directory categories to streamline and enhance the Connect Bloomington and online business directory experience for all users. With over 422 different categories previously available, we recognized the need to simplify our listings to ensure that organizations are grouped under the most relevant and commonly searched categories. This change helps improve visibility and ease of navigation for anyone searching for services and products.
Our goal is to ensure that your organization is easily found by potential customers who are likely using Google or other search engines to locate businesses like yours. Previously, the extensive list of categories led to situations where users could not find what they needed due to the overly specific and numerous options. This resulted in some organizations being missed by potential clients searching for them.
To address this, we have focused on consolidating categories to better reflect common search behaviors and improve the likelihood of your business being discovered. We encourage you to select from the provided categories that best describe your primary services. Additionally, you can utilize the short description, products and services, and keywords sections in your profile to highlight specific details and offerings of your business.

- Access the Member's Log-In area
- Enter your Username and Password
- Once you have logged in, choose Edit This Profile in the navigation bar
- Review the previewed information, and adjust as needed
- Make sure to save your changes before exiting
