Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing and policy-making body of the Chamber of Commerce. Fourteen to eighteen members comprise of the Chamber’s board and members are elected to a three year term. Each director acts as a voting member of the board with full authority and responsibility to:

• Develop strategic goals and policy that assists the Chamber in achieving its mission
• Support the mission, policies, committees, and activities of the Chamber
• Monitor the Chamber’s financial health, programs and overall performance
• Approve the budget and review monthly financial statements
• Provide the President with the resources to meet the needs of the members
• Evaluate the performance of the Chamber President regularly
• Assist in fundraising through member recruitment, maintenance and retention
• Represent Chamber policies, programs, members and mission to the community
• Review and adopt positions on advocacy issues affecting the business community
