Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing and policy-making body of the Chamber of Commerce. Fourteen to eighteen members comprise of the Chamber’s board and members are elected to a three year term. Each director acts as a voting member of the board with full authority and responsibility to:
- Develop strategic goals and policy that assists the Chamber in achieving its mission
- Support the mission, policies, committees, and activities of the Chamber
- Monitor the Chamber’s financial health, programs and overall performance
- Approve the budget and review monthly financial statements
- Provide the President with the resources to meet the needs of the members
- Evaluate the performance of the Chamber President regularly
- Assist in fundraising through member recruitment, maintenance and retention
- Represent Chamber policies, programs, members and mission to the community
- Review and adopt positions on advocacy issues affecting the business community
