On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's annual Federal Focus event with U.S. Senator Todd Young, at Ivy Tech Community College - Shreve Hall. Michael Huber, Vice President for University Relations at Indiana University, introduced the senator, and Pete Yonkman, President of Cook Group, moderated the Q&A session. See the photos from the event below! On Monday, April 10, 2023, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's Elect Connect: Mayoral Forum on Business at IU's Presidents Hall. During this event, Chamber members and members of the community were able to hear mayoral candidates Don Griffin, Susan Sandberg, and Kerry Thomson discuss issues important to the business and economic development community. On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's Community Conversations: Working Better, Together at the Fountain Square Ballroom. During this event, Sheriff Ruben Marté, Dr. Allison Howland, Liz Grenant, Penny Githens, and Eric Spoonmore were part of a panel moderated by Margie Rice. This panel discussion brought perspectives on the role of elected officials and the business community to focus on strategies for achieving meaningful progress on the goals for the community. During this event, Chamber members and members of the community were able to have the opportunity to talk with local candidates on the ballot this upcoming May Primary.
