On Thursday, July 21, 2022, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's monthly Business After Hours in partnership with Develefy Consulting at the Moose Lodge. See the photos from the event below! Since August 2021, Skye Nicholson founded Soul's Truth Coaching, LLC where she coaches women to their self-created goals around personal empowerment, alcohol use, or anxiety reduction, by providing tactics and tools to take charge of their thoughts. Skye is a native of Chicagoland and moved to Columbus, Indiana, about 7 years ago with her husband and two children. Although her undergraduate degree is in Environmental Engineering, she taught high school science for ten years in inner-city Chicago before becoming a stay-at-home mom when her first child was born. On April 1, 2022, Madison Bowman, opened The Frock Bridal House. Their mission is to provide a stress free, pressure free and memorable day for each future bride. They want to provide a unique selection of gowns to allow their client to be their most elevated self. They work with smaller independent designers, which allow for choices not found at larger boutiques and endless customization options. Madison grew up in Washington, IN and then attended IU, graduating in 2016 with degrees in Information Systems, International Business and Apparel Merchandising. However, she originally started out as an Entrepreneurship major with the hope of starting a bridal shop. Once Madison got to college, though, she chickened out and went down a path with more job security and a steady paycheck! She then spent 5 years in Indianapolis doing IT & Business consulting before starting her business. Aaron Brown began as an independent booth renter at his sister’s shop. Over time, he was able to reinvent Razors Image in 2011. Since, the shop has doubled, rebranded and developed, and completed a unique merge with his sister’s shop, Angela’s Ebony Designs and Barbershop. The shop has been under Aaron's ownership for 11 years, he has been a barber for 22 years, and a licensed educator in the field for nearly a decade.
