Indiana Members Credit Union was established as Indiana University Medical Center Federal Credit Union in 1956 by employees of the Indiana University Medical Center, on what is today’s IUPUI Campus. Established as a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution, founded on and by the employees of the IU Medical Center, IMCU is still headquartered in Indianapolis and continues to maintain a branch on the campus of IUPUI. Today, IMCU has grown to become the largest credit union in Central Indiana, offering 31 full-service branches and serving over 135,000 members. Thirteen years ago, Van Buren Township and Fire Department started saving dollars for a new Fire Station #39 in Stanford, IN. With the help of firefighters continuing to help the Township, they finally reached our goal and paid cash ($1.500,000) for a station to be built. As of May 1, 2021 they were able to occupy the station under Monroe Fire Protection District.
