Questions & Answers

What motivated you to start your own business? How did you develop the skills to start your own business?
I have always been into remodeling, I’m from Peru and my dad was a carpenter and in the construction business and I would help since I was young. Moving to Indianapolis with my family, I knew I wanted to make something for myself and had friends who also were starting their own businesses at the time and we all helped each other out by working on each other's projects or giving advice and guidance on how to complete a project. It was a great environment to learn the other side of a business, while I knew the labor part, I learned the administrative and customer service side as well.

What inspires your work and what sets you apart from everyone else? 
Our mission statement is to provide exceptional services with the highest level of professionalism, while using the industry’s best quality products. And we do it all at an affordable budget, it’s the best of both worlds. We realize that a roof installation can be costly, especially during these past few months with material prices increasing and the current state of affairs, but we focus on making sure your investment is worthwhile. We never cut corners, we’re always up front about our costs and we work with our customer’s budget.

What makes your business stand out from other businesses in Bloomington?
We are meticulous in what we do, just like the saying “leave no stone unturned” we do everything possible to solve your roof or home issue. We’ve been in business for so long, we have trained and more than capable hands inspecting roofs and homes overall. What’s more, we do our 20 point inspection during every call, which means we take our time and our full attention is your home, not our next appointment or sale. If you call us for a roof leak, we will also take a look at other parts of your home, like your gutters, siding, soffit areas, etc. We want to make sure that there are no other surprises down the road for homeowners, and like to give peace of mind. We also provide and like to emphasize our information regarding our warranties, both for labor and materials. While not every roofing company provides labor warranties for their repairs, we do. We stand behind every quality job we complete.

Have you won any awards or had any special recognition or acknowledgement of your business?
We have won the ABC Silver Customer Appreciation Award and have been named as one of Expertise’s best roofers in Bloomington for 2022.

What has been your biggest success to date?
Our biggest success project wise was to complete several apartment and condominium roof installations throughout the years; while the majority of our work is residential roofing, we are glad to be increasing our commercial side as well. Internally, we are proud of our staff, it's one of the best teams we’ve had. 

What has been your biggest challenge?
Our biggest challenge has been increasing expenses in the past years along with increasing competition. Especially in Indianapolis, construction and roofing is a highly competitive market and you can see new companies popping up every year. We are proactively trying to engage and stand out as one of the better companies out there.

What are your plans for the future of your business?
Ideally, we are focusing on expanding. We have a great foundation here in Bloomington and like I stated earlier, we have other offices in Indianapolis and Northern Indiana that are newly established and we are hoping to reach more clients along the way. The roofing industry is made of hard working people, who work long hours to complete a goal, and as long as there is demand for our services(and there is always demand for general contractors) we will keep working hard and delivering the best services available.
