On Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce hosted it's bi-monthly Bloomington Women in Leadership (BWIL) event. BWIL is based on three pillars: Empower, Engage, and Inspire. This month focused on Empowerment, noting the accomplishments and efforts in our community of the four women here with us today. The Chamber and Bloomington Women in Leadership recognize the importance of highlighting, advocating for and elevating Black women and women of color to leadership roles in professional organizations. With this panel, we share the journeys of four prominent Black women in Bloomington to highlight their successes, to encourage being an advocate for women of color in the workplace and our community, and, ultimately, to elevate and expand inclusion within our organizations. Below are photos from the event. Thank you to our sponsors Cook Group, The Monroe County YMCA, ISU/The May Agency, Hoosier Energy, Express Employment, FC Tucker, RE/MAX Acclaimed Properties, German American Bank, Cassady Electric, and Chase Bank for your support. We also wanted to thank WTIU/WFIU for donating some amazing raffle prizes for today's events.
