On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce's Bloomington Women in Leadership (BWIL) group held it's community engagement day, Celebrate Play where they partnered with Middle Way House to assemble playground equipment, clean up the garden space, and generally beautify the area. See the photos from the event below! Middle Way House provides meaningful alternatives to living with violence to hundreds of survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking each year. Further, Middle Way House touches the lives of thousands of community members annually through educational outreach and prevention programs. The mission of the program is to provide survivors with access to permanent, safe, and affordable housing; to achieve economic security, and foster their strengths to further develop their capacities for self-determination. This Engage event is a way for women in Bloomington to show our support for these women and this organization by beautifying a space where their children can just be kids. Middle Way’s youth program's goal is to provide a fun, safe, and inclusive experience for all residential and aftercare youth.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, sexual violence or human trafficking, resources are available at middlewayhouse.org or its 24/7 Help and Crisis Line at 812-336-0846.
