On Wednesday, August 28th, the Young Professionals Bloomington group of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held an event, "Investing 101," at Comprehensive Financial Consultants. On Thursday, August 22, 2024, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's 14th annual Women Excel Bloomington awards ceremony at One World at Woolery Mill. With over 250 attendees, our five award winners were able to celebrate all that they have accomplished. The 2024 Women Excel Bloomington award winners are: Leslie Abshier, Michelle Cole, Dr. Gloria Howell, Samantha Morran, and the Mae Cassady Lifetime Achievement recipient Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan. See the photos from the event below! On Tuesday, July 30th, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce's Bloomington Women in Leadership (BWIL) group hosted it's quarterly events. This event, "Elevate Your Financial Future: Empowering Women at Every Career Stage," was led by T. Claire Kest with Hurlow Wealth Group. During her presentation, she gave the audience the opportunity to gain practical action items to feel financially empowered, break free from past financial setbacks, and find or be a mentor on someone else's career journey.
