Hello my name is Shaquille Jenkins. I'm a United States Air Force veteran. In early July 2022, I was facing eviction from my Cincinnati apartment because I just lost the job at hard Rock casino. I was able to acquire a position at French Lick casino and called wheeler mission and spoke to Nicole about me staying at the wheeler mission because they gave me a shorter drive to work. I stayed at Wheeler mission approximately 30 days with no incident. A team member from work pushed me resulting in me going to the hospital via ambulance from the wheeler mission. I did not inform staff of this. When I return from the hospital it was after curfew so I decided to not bother staff and wait in my vehicle. I provided AJ with a ride to the local Kroger's to pick up City birds free of charge. Upon my return I was sending an email to my employer telling them that I had a work excuse for the next week. The next thing I know a male came to my car making weird comments and gesturing as he had a weapon which I asked him to leave my vehicle. He refused so I call 911. Time to dispatcher answered he began beating out my window which is caught on Wheeler mission cameras trying to grab my belongings out of the back. I had to crank my vehicle and pull off to get him to stop in which he started running southbound down westplex. I pursued male while on the phone with 911 and then he jumps in front of my car in which he may have been hit. I suffer arrest and consequently incarceration until I was released without talking to a judge, without explanation, and without the opportunity to speak to attorney. I return to the wheel mission and front desk staff tells me I'm red flagged and unable to return. I asked to speak to the director and later see him in the yard for another individual and he tells me to hold a minute (7/12/22). He then never comes to talk to me at all. I know him as the director Dana Jones. Wheeler Mission refuse to give me any food other than one bag lunch in which I had to get food from another resident using his food stamp card for the next two days. This was July 11th through July 14th 2022. I finally received a check from French Lick and which I decided that I was going to move to South Carolina to be closer to my adopted parents. I obtain employment at Harrah's Cherokee casino in North Carolina. After a month of working as a dual rate table game supervisor I save $3,000 and acquired an apartment when charges were renewed or repressed and I was now facing three felonies out of Bloomington causing me to have to surrender my gaming license. I take my $3,000 and pay for my attorney and which I am still awaiting trial. 1/09/24 I reached out to 211 and the navigator determined that Friends Place did not have any current openings and that wheeler mission did. I spoke to Jermaine and I informed him that I was Shaquille Jenkins and he told me that I was still red flag and not allowed back in the shelter even though next week will be 2°. I informed him that I did have an attorney and I did want to get in writing why I wasn't allowed back in the shelter. He took a brief pause and then informed me that Monday January 2024 that I would be able to talk to two people to get that explanation. I was a resident at the wheeler mission and the other male that attacked my vehicle was not a resident and he also States that he received phone call saying damage my vehicle. My experience with the wheeler mission before this happened was I will get up go to work do my chore but I remember this one staff in particular every time I will be in the presence of everyone in the day area he would ask me how's my job going how much you're making and when I was getting paid. I can't remember his name but I would never forget his face. Also there was an issue where an African-American male and a white male had a fight at the shelter both throwing punches resulting in the African American male being asked to leave and white male being able to stay at the shelter. I believe that we are all black or blue people and I believe that Mr Dana Jones has not gotten with times and still goes under the pretenses of being racist not knowing all he is doing is stealing credit in which that is not suitable for heaven. If you would like to know a little bit more about me you can contact me at [email protected] or 513-846-9811. My Facebook is also Shaquille Jenkins or Shaquielle O'Neal Jenkins or GoFundMe at Shaquielle Jenkins. I do believe Mr Dana Jones operates in a manner that causes harms by allowing unethical situations to occur. Furthermore I believe Mr Dana Jones not providing me an explanation on why I am sleeping in my car and not in the shelter should be considered a huge breach of trust for the community of Bloomington. Here a year and a half later I am still fighting my case as that male is in jail for burglary. I do believe I will be victorious in this matter and feel highly offended that just because I was making $35 an hour that staff to
