![]() WFIU Public Radio and WTIU Public Television will host an open house Thursday, October 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Radio-TV Building on the Indiana University Bloomington campus (1229 E. 7th St.). The community is invited to this free event to get an insider’s look at public broadcasting. This year’s open house will celebrate two milestones: the 10th anniversary of WTIU’s local news program, Indiana Newsdesk, and the 80th birthday of Bob Ross, who made his mark on public television and popular culture with his series The Joy of Painting. The event will include tours of the WFIU-WTIU broadcast facilities, the opportunity to meet WFIU and WTIU personalities and learn about local programming, and the chance for guests to take pictures in a Bob Ross-themed photo booth. Light desserts and beverages will be provided. More information is available at indianapublicmedia.org/events.
