Rumpke Sees More Growth in Southern Indiana

​Beginning this week, Monster Trash customers will be picked up by Rumpke Waste & Recycling.
 
The Spencer, Indiana waste hauler has sold certain waste collection assets to fellow family-owned company Rumpke, including its residential and commercial customers as well as 15 trucks.
 
“Our family has enjoyed providing our friends and neighbors with reliable waste collection,” said Craig Newforth, owner of Monster Trash. “We appreciate the support the community has provided us the last 20 years.”
 
Rumpke, which is headquartered in Cincinnati and has regional operations in Jackson, Bartholomew and Orange counties and will soon break ground on a new facility in Monroe County, started servicing the Monster Trash customers on Monday.

“We’ve been working very closely with the Monster team to make this a smooth transition for customers,” said Eric Curtis, Rumpke region vice president. “We’re very excited to have several of the Monster employees join our team who will continue to service customers in Owen and Monroe counties.”
 
Curtis added that rates and service days will initially remain unchanged, and customers will soon receive a mailer from Monster Trash and Rumpke explaining additional details of the transition. In the meantime, if customers have questions, they can contact Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171.
