Kindergarten Family Readiness Module: This is a 4-week course where families can meet with our coaches once a week and learn about what to expect in kindergarten. Topics can include how to apply for free and reduced lunch, what are book fees, how to navigate transportation, what is an IEP/504 plan, and tips for communicating with teachers and the school. Anyone who does this module will receive some great incentives that can help cover back to school haircuts, supplies, clothes, and more! Summer Kick-Off Event: On June 2nd, we will have our gym filled with tables and information for free or low-cost things to do this summer. Any agency who would like to attend is welcome, or we can just have a table that share's your summer events 🙂 June Meet and Eat: On June 9th, we will have United Savings Bank sharing about their mortgage assistance options that allow for lower credit scores, eliminated closing costs, and significantly reduced down payments (many of these are separate from the federal mortgage offerings). These programs are designed to assist low-income families achieve home ownership. Agencies and clients are encouraged to attend!
