The Monroe County History Center will have a new exhibit, "Pioneer Quilts from Hoosier Country," from January 25th to March 26th. A quilt’s patterns and stitches can reveal a lot about a family’s history and throughout central Indiana they were passed down from one generation to the next. Handcrafted with patience and love, the History Center is fortunate to have examples in our permanent collection. Some of the heirlooms on display in the Hill Gallery date back to the nineteenth century. Visit the Monroe County History Center at 202 E 6th Street and see some of the most cherished pieces from Monroe County history.
The exhibit is open on Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. **** The annual Garage Sale fundraiser will also begin collecting donations for the June 2022 sale beginning January 12. For more information on the warehouse location and donations, visit monroehistory.org/annual-garage-sale/.
