Middle Way House announces new Executive Director

The board of directors at Middle Way House is pleased to announce that Carrie Stillions has been selected as Executive Director.

Bloomington, Indiana – Ms. Stillions has served as Interim Executive Director of Middle Way House (MWH) since May of 2022. Prior to taking on that role, she worked as the agency’s Crisis Intervention Services Coordinator, overseeing support groups and the Rape Crisis Center. During her time as Interim Director, she has worked closely with residents, represented MWH at community and state-level events, and supported agency staff through new initiatives amid leadership transitions.

Kathleen Sideli, board president, stated that the board has prioritized a seamless transition of leadership at MWH after the departure of Debra Morrow in 2022 due to health concerns. During the search process, the board and staff representatives determined that Ms. Stillions was an ideal candidate due to her collaborative leadership skills, innovative ideas, and energetic plans to ensure the sustainability of MWH and its services. Ms. Stillions is excited to employ her agency knowledge, professional experience, and passion for social impact to bring MWH into a new era of growth while honoring its mission and the hard work done by those in the past: “I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn and collaborate with so many community partners, staff members, and clients.
