![]() "Winners never quit and quitters never win." Vince Lombardi Quitting is about stopping something as it is too hard, even if it is something we really want. People who want to lose weight quit because dieting it too hard. Quitting can be highly emotional and is filled with frustration. Many will quit before giving it their all as they lose the determination to get what they truly want. Letting go has similarities to quitting but does not have the emotional attachment. Interestingly, letting go can be calming, and meditative. It can happen when we realize the situation or an individual isn't serving us anymore. Letting go can be freeing. There are no regrets and you come to terms that you no longer needs this person or experience. To stop something permanently, quitting and letting go are both things we do. So how do you recognize the difference? All you need to ask yourself is — Why am I doing this? If you have thoughts of quitting, refocus and when you feel the need to let go live in peace.
