Ivy Tech Community College’s Bloomington campus nursing program is ranked among the best nursing programs in the state for 2020 by Nursing Schools Almanac. Ivy Tech’s Bloomington campus was ranked third on the list of 20 best Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) programs and eight on the list of 20 best practical nursing (LPN) programs.

“That Ivy Tech Bloomington’s ASN program was ranked third in the state can be attributed to excellence in instruction among nursing faculty and the support of nursing leadership,” said Chancellor Jennie Vaughan. “Thanks to the high-standard of excellence in instruction and dedication to student success at Ivy Tech Bloomington, our nurses are well-prepared to serve. We know that Ivy Tech nurses and other healthcare alumni are among those working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we want to thank them for their essential service to our communities.”

Ivy Tech Bloomington nursing student average pass rates on the NCLEX-RN licensure exam among first-time test-takers for 2011-2018 is 92%, which is above the national average for two-year colleges (85%) and four-year colleges and universities (91%). During the same timeframe, Ivy Tech Bloomington graduated an average of 71 ASN students annually. Ivy Tech Bloomington practical nursing average pass rates on the NCLEX-PN exam among first-time test-takers for 2011-2018 is 99%, and the campus graduates an average of 25 LPNs annually.

On Friday, Ivy Tech Bloomington is set to graduate 80 ASN and 6 LPN students who will enter the workforce.

If eligible, Ivy Tech LPN students can earn a tuition-free job certification, through Next Level Jobs Indiana, paid for by the Workforce Ready Grant.

Ivy Tech accepts free applications and offers multiple course start dates throughout the year. Apply online at ivytech.edu/ApplyNow or for more information, visit ivytech.edu/bloomington/ChatWithUs.
