Code/IT Academy at the Mill: Spring 2023 Session: COMPTIA SECURITY+

The spring 2023 program prepares you to take the CompTIA Security+ certification exam. CompTIA Security+ establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. CompTIA Security+ validates the baseline skills necessary to perform core security functions and pursue an IT security career.
Students need to have a basic understanding of computer systems and network infrastructure either through previous classwork or job experience.
Two nights each week, you’ll learn from Jason Endris, Ivy Tech Bloomington faculty. You’ll also meet regularly one-on-one with career coaches from Ivy+  Career Link to ensure your success. Participants will receive a part-time membership at The Mill, and those who successfully complete the program will receive a voucher to cover exam costs.

• No cost for training
• No eligibility restrictions
• All classes are in person at The Mill  (no virtual option)
• Sessions are every Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30-7:00 pm
• Time commitment outside of class is about 8-10 hours a week
• Graduates receive a voucher to cover certification exam costs
• Access to laptops provided to those in need
• Preference is given to those without a college degree
