The 2023 Solar, Energy Efficiency, & Lighting (SEEL) Program website is live and applications will open on January 18th. We are reaching out to invite your organization to learn more about participating in the 2023 program.
On Wednesday the 18th from 12-1, the City of Bloomington Department of Economic and Sustainable Development, in partnership with IFF, MPI Solar, and Hoosier Hills Credit Union will be holding a hybrid program information session in the McCloskey Conference Room at City Hall and on Zoom. Please register to attend the informational webinar in person or virtually here at: https://bton.in/rCV6a The 2023 SEEL program will provide energy efficiency and solar grants and technical assistance for up to forty nonprofits, community institutions, and small businesses to improve building performance and install solar. SEEL program support for participating organizations includes: Energy Efficiency Grants ● $3,000 Energy Efficiency Assessment - The energy assessment, performed by IFF, is valued at $3,000 and the cost of the assessment is sponsored by the City of Bloomington. ● $10,000 Matching Grant - The City of Bloomington will provide $10,000 grants as a cost share to help cover energy efficiency project costs. Additional utility rebates may be available depending on the facility and project type. Solar Grants ● $25,000 Grant & Solar Assessment- The City of Bloomington will provide $25,000 grants to help cover solar project costs. Solar assessments and installations will be completed by our program partner, MPI Solar, and organizations can utilize the 30% federal tax credit.
