Everyone is invited to this year’s 4th annual Hope for Holidays tree extravaganza presented by Catalent, November 15–17, at Switchyard Park in Bloomington. “We are eager for this opportunity to bring our community together to kick off the holiday season,” said 2022 co-chairs Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan and Amy Stolberg. Hope for the Holidays presented by Catalent is open daily Tuesday, Nov. 15, through Thursday, Nov. 17, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in The Pavilion at Switchyard Park, located at 1601 S. Rogers Street. For the closest and most convenient parking, guests are encouraged to enter Switchyard Park through the west entrance from South Rogers Street. This family-friendly event is free to attend and open to the public. Over the course of three days, visitors can view more than 60 ornate and unique holiday trees decorated by local businesses, organizations, groups and families.
Each of the fantastic trees on display can be purchased for a special "Buy It Now" price. Any remaining entries on the final night of the event (Thursday, Nov. 17) will be auctioned off during a fun live auction starting at 6:30 p.m. In addition to the lights and tinsel, the final night will also feature live entertainment and free refreshments. All proceeds from this event will benefit families impacted by homelessness in our community. New Hope for Families is the only temporary emergency shelter service in Monroe County where adults with children can find shelter together. We're on a mission to keep families together and break the cycle of homelessness and poverty. For more information, visit https://www.newhope4families.org/hope4theholidays
