CARDINAL SPIRITS WINS THREE USA TODAY 10BEST AWARDS FOR SPIRITS AND CANNED COCKTAILS

​Cardinal Spirits, the craft distillery in Bloomington, Ind., has been named USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Award winners in three categories: Best Canned Cocktails, Best Craft Rum Distillery, and Best Craft Specialty Spirits Distillery. Some fast facts about Cardinal Spirits’ wins:

• Cardinal Spirits placed #1 in the Best Craft Specialty Spirits Distillery category
• Cardinal Spirits is the only Indiana company among the winners in all three categories
• Cardinal Spirits is the only craft distillery in the Best Canned Cocktails category

These achievements bring national attention to Cardinal Spirits’ highly-rated spirits and canned cocktails, which are distributed in 12 states and Washington D.C. This is the distillery’s third year as a 10Best award winner — in 2019, Best Craft Rum Distillery and Best Craft Vodka Distillery; in 2020, Best Craft Vodka Distillery.

For the competition, USA Today taps a panel of spirits experts to nominate 20 alcohol producers in each category, then the public votes daily to determine the top 10 rankings.

“Our fantastic spirits earned us the nominations for these awards for the third year in a row, and again we owe this win to our caring fans and their daily votes. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support,” says Cardinal Spirits co-founder Jeff Wuslich.

In the specialty spirits category, Cardinal Spirits is best known for its top-notch spirits made with real botanicals and fruit, including La Boîte American Amaro, Valencia Triple Sec, and Songbird Coffee Liqueur.

Meanwhile, the distillery makes four varieties of popular canned cocktails: Bourbon Cream Soda, Maui Mule, Bramble Mule, and Vodka Soda.

As for rums, Cardinal Spirits produces two: Tiki Rum, a light rum made from cane juice, light molasses, and deliciously fruity yeast, is one of the highest-rated craft rums in the country, with 92 points and a “Best Buy” rating from Wine Enthusiast. Lake House Spiced Rum is an earthy, dry rum with loads of citrus and subtle vanilla, crafted on a base of Tiki Rum.
