In addition to commemorating the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, we will provide a training on communication access and the ADA (see details below). During July, there will be several free online trainings on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other disability-related topics. From the Northeast ADA Center: Do customers bring dogs into your business claiming they are service animals, emotional support animals, comfort dogs, or therapy dogs? Join Chris Sweet, technical assistant for the Northeast ADA Center, as he guides business owners and employees through the essential basics of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and service animals. Service animals are becoming more common as people with disabilities realize what they can do. But not all dogs are service animals. Chris will also present the new Service Animals in Public Spaces website. ADA Title II Action Guide for State and Local Governments The New England ADA Center hosts an online version of their "ADA Title II Action Guide for State and Local Governments" (originally published in 1992). The Action Guide website provides guidance to local and state government entities with obligations under Title II of the ADA.
