This morning, the Monroe County Board of Commissioners approved a new Health Order and Regulation from the Monroe County Health Department that states masks or face coverings will be required to be worn over an individuals nose and mouth in all indoor public places regardless of vaccination status. This step is being taken due to the sharp increase in COVID-19 cases, positivity rate, the Delta variant, and the new CDC guidance. This mandate will go into effect on Thursday, August 5th at 8:00am. Businesses will be required to post signage regarding this mandate. You can stop by the Chamber office to pick up these signs and the County will also have these signs available.
