The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The Exchange Club of Northside Bloomington will host its inaugural Valor Awards on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. We invite you to submit a nomination for this award ceremony.

The Valor Awards are presented to public safety personnel to recognize their daily efforts that keep the community a safe and thriving place to live, work and play. The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and the Exchange Club of Northside Bloomington annually pays tribute to public safety personnel from public safety agencies in Monroe County.

Nominations are due Monday, March 25th at 5:00pm.

    2024 Valor Awards Nomination

    Nominations should address the following topics:
    • Leadership - Highlight individuals who have exhibited exceptional leadership qualities, demonstrating strong ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism in their role. How have they shown involvement outside of their occupation obligations?
    • Excellence - Individuals who far exceeded expectations during the normal performance of duty over time through dedication, professionalism, and effectiveness. How have they improved the profession by the contributions they have made? Is it unique?
    • Valor - ​How has this person gone above and beyond the call of duty; and exhibited exceptional courage, zeal or ingenuity extraordinary decisiveness and presence of mind along with unusual swiftness of action, regardless of their personal safety to save or protect human life? ​
