Katie SensabaughDirector of the Chamber's Foundation & Internal Operations
[email protected] As the Director of the Chamber's Foundation & Internal Operations, I act as a connector for the business and education communities. By introducing students to career options, providing opportunities to practice job skills, and explore real-world financial learning, The Success School helps to shape our community's future workforce. I also oversee all financial activities of the Chamber and its foundation, and all financial reporting. In addition, my role supports the different Chamber departments as well as our Chamber members in preparing and tracking all member dues and sponsorship invoices.
Since joining the Chamber in 2021, I have served as the Director of the Success School, and Membership Services Coordinator. I currently also serves as Chamber staff liaison to the Bloomington Women in Leadership and Young Professionals Bloomington groups. My previous roles include Program Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Ohio, Gemologist and Jewelry Designer for an independent jewelry store, and manager of a retail clothing store. I was recognized for my efforts to develop lasting professional relationships and provide excellent volunteer management and customer service to my clients. I received a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a Certificate in Business Administration from Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington. I moved to the area from Northwest Ohio and have lived in Bloomington for 5 years. My family and I especially enjoy the foodie scene in Bloomington, hiking the trails, and visiting the dog park. In my leisure time, I like walking, hiking, yoga, and reading. The best advice I have ever been given was, "More than just treat each other how you would want to be treated, treat each person how they want to be treated." I also build furniture and home decor using reclaimed wood and recycled materials as much as possible. |
