Women Excel Bloomington 2025

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce held it's 15th annual Women Excel Bloomington awards ceremony at One World at Woolery Mill. With almost 300 attendees, our six award winners were able to celebrate all that they have accomplished. The 2025 Women Excel Bloomington award winners are: Ann Harrison, Maggie Mobley, Sharr Pechac, Amanda Shettlesworth, Vicky Sorensen, and the Mae Cassady Lifetime Achievement recipient Gladys DeVane.

The WEB Awards celebrate the achievements of local women leaders who inspire through their actions and initiatives. These women serve as mentors, excel in their professions, and demonstrate outstanding leadership and community service. The WEB Awards is the highlight of the Bloomington Women in Leadership's annual calendar and honors women who balance professional success with a commitment to volunteerism and civic engagement.

Those honored this year were:

• Maggie Mobley – Executive of Ministries, Sherwood Oaks Christian Church
• Sharr Pechac – Director of Human Resources, City of Bloomington
• Amanda Shettlesworth, SHRM-CP, PHR – Benefits & Compliance Manager, Monroe County Community School Corporation
• Vicky Sorensen – Board of Trustees Chair, Monroe Fire Protection District
• Gladys DeVane – Mae Cassady Lifetime Achievement Award​

We also honored the Chamber's Vice President of Operations & Membership, Katie Sensabaugh, who has led the Bloomington Women in Leadership group as the staff liaison for the past three and a half years. In September 2025, Katie will be passing the role to Kaytee Lorentzen, the Chamber's Director of Communications & Events.

Katie received an honorary Women Excel Bloomington Award for her excellence in leadership, her unwavering commitment to empowering women, and the lasting legacy she will leave behind in this role.
