We receive reports from law enforcement agencies and file criminal charges in appropriate cases. We will vigorously prosecute those who are guilty, while ensuring that the innocent are not wrongly convicted or oppressed.

Erika Oliphant (D) (i)
Erika Oliphant’s journey as a prosecutor in Monroe County, Indiana, is marked by her dedication to public safety and justice. Oliphant grew up on an organic farm in Versailles, Indiana and is a first-generation college graduate. In 1999, she moved to Bloomington to attend Indiana University and fell in love with the community. In 2003, she earned a BA in General Studies, with a science concentration. Oliphant later attended IU Mauer School of Law, where she earned her JD. She served as Deputy Prosecutor for 9 year before taking office as the County prosecutor in 2019. Oliphant supports her community in all the ways she can and is on numerous boards and committees. Oliphant is committed to community safety, compassionate justice, and constitutional values.

Benjamin Arrington (D)
Benjamin Arrington is a staff attorney at Pro Bono Indiana Inc.’s District 10 Office, which provides free legal services to low-income Hoosiers for family and eviction cases. Arrington got his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Northeastern Illinois University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and earned his JD from the IU Maurer School of Law. He has extensive experience in law, having worked as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, a Staff Attorney for the State of Indiana, and an Indiana Administrative Law Judge. Arrington is committed to public safety, responsible reform, and fair justice that protects families and strengthens Monroe County communities.
