Back to General Election Page
This page provides information about the candidates who are running for the Monroe County Council on General Election Day, November 8th. The 7-member County Council appropriates all funds for county use, adopts county budget, fixes county tax rates, and has exclusive power to borrow money for the County. Councilors serve four-year terms for this part-time position.

Three Democrats and one Republican will vie for seats in Districts 1-4. Only one incumbent, Peter Iversen, will face a candidate from the Republican party in the race for his seat in District 1. The other candidates are running unopposed in the following districts.
