Membership Committee

Ambassadors & Welcome Committee

The Membership Committee of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role in supporting the growth, engagement, and retention of Chamber members. Made up of dedicated volunteers who serve as Ambassadors and Welcome Committee members, this group acts as the face of the Chamber—helping to create meaningful connections, enhance the member experience, and ensure every business feels supported and seen.

Members of this committee are passionate about building relationships and helping others get the most value from their membership. They attend ribbon cuttings, networking events, and member programs to offer a friendly presence and encourage engagement. Whether it’s greeting a new member at their first event or checking in with longtime members about available benefits, the committee helps foster a strong sense of community within the Chamber.

The Membership Committee also works closely with Chamber staff to share feedback from members, support outreach campaigns, and serve as a sounding board for new initiatives. It’s a rewarding opportunity to grow professionally, gain visibility for your business, and give back to the business community in a meaningful way.
