Nov. 20: Weird Fiction Book Club, 7:00 – 8:00 pm

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Weird Fiction Book Club is led by fiction expert and teacher, Harrison! The read for November is The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster. 

Nov. 21: Author Event with Merle Bachman and Noah Berlatsky, 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Morgenstern Books is excited to host authors Merle Bachman and Noah Berlatsky for an evening on conversation discussing Bachman’s book, So Many Warm Words, and Berlatsky’s book, Not Akhmatova. This event will be moderated by Jason Rosenblum.

Nov. 22: Game Night (Friday Nights at Morgenstern Books), 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Friday Game Night is back in the Morgenstern Books café! No need to sign up, just bring your friends, grab a drink, and pick a game!

Nov. 22: Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club, 7:00 – 8:00 pm

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club is led by sci-fi, fantasy, folklore & mythology specialist, Matthew! The read for November is Tread of Angels by Rebecca Roanhorse. 

Nov. 23: Family Night: The Wizard of Oz with Constellation for Kids, 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Morgenstern Books is partnered with Constellation for Kids to bring you a very special Family Night! Come fly over the rainbow and get lost with us in OZ!! Join us in celebrating the upcoming performances of 'The Wizard of Oz' with Constellation Stage and Screen! Dorothy will be taking the yellow brick road straight through the doors of Morgenstern Books to do a special read-a-loud and photo op!

Nov. 24: The Writers Guild Last Sunday Poetry Reading and Open Mic, 7:00 – 8:30 pm

The monthly meeting of the Writers Guild of Bloomington’s poetry night is hosted at Morgenstern Books! This month, featured readers are Shannon K. Winston and Kerry Jensen Trautman.

Nov. 26: Death Café, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Eat cake. Drink Tea. Talk about Death. A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. The Bloomington chapter is hosted by Rick Clayton, a hospice chaplain and musician who enjoys playing harp and cello for his clients. It meets monthly at Morgenstern's.

Nov. 29 – 30: Find us at Dinosaur Days at WonderLab, 11:00 am – 2:30 pm
