Dec. 2: Author Event An Homage to Dr. Ruth Westheimer, 6:00-7:00pm

Morgenstern Books is honored to host An Homage to Dr. Ruth Westheimer with the Kinsey Institute. We'll be celebrating Dr. Westheimer's book, The Joy of Connections, with her co-authors, Allison Gilbert and Pierre Lehu.

Dec. 4: Author Event with Auden Schendler, 6:00-7:00pm

Join us in the Morgenstern Books café for an evening in conversation with author Auden Schendler, discussing his book, Terrible Beauty.

Dec. 3: Author Event with Angela Jackson-Brown, 6:30-7:30pm

We're excited to host local award-winning author Angela Jackson-Brown for the launch of her newest book, Untethered !

Dec. 4: Wholehearted Book Club, 7:00-8:00pm

The monthly meeting of the Wholehearted Book Club is led by Bloomington yogi, Molly McDonald!

Dec. 5: Poetry Potluck with Kelsey Bigelow, 6:00-7:00pm

Midwestern poets Kelsey Bigelow and Caleb "The Negro Artist" Rainey host the Instagram project called "Poetry Potluck." Every first Monday of the month, their audiences send in random words and then they write a poem using those words. Audiences are invited to join in the fun by writing their own and sending them in to be published in the annual Poetry Potluck Anthology. This showcase event is part of the 2023 Poetry Potluck Anthology Tour, and we will highlight local poet, Naomi G. Lau, who has published poems in the anthology. Following the showcase, the public is invited to share their poetry on the open mic! Come join the potluck!

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Romance Book Club is led by our resident social media girlie and romance reader, Ryann!

Dec. 7: Saturday Story Hour, 10:00am-10:30am

Hey kids — remind your folks to bring you to Morgenstern's on Saturday morning for story time! Co-hosted by Ms. Margaret or Ms. Cara, children’s book specialists, elementary school teachers and moms.

Dec. 7: Poetry on Demand with Muse de Rue Writing, 10:30am-4:30pm

Avery Rist is back in our café for Poetry on Demand by Muse de Rue Writing! Stop by her table for a unique piece of poetry written just for you!

Dec. 9: Murder Mystery Book Club, 7:00-8:00pm

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Murder Mystery Book Club is led by bookseller and mystery/thriller enthusiast, Grace!

The read for December is The Christmas Murder Game by Alexandra Benedict.

Dec. 13: Taylor Swift: Eras Tour Wrap Party!, 6:00-9:00pm

Attention B-town Swifties!

Morgenstern Books is excited to host a very special "Friday Nights at Morgenstern Books" celebrating the wrap-up of the famous "Eras Tour" and Miss T. Swift's birthday!

We'll be screening the Eras Tour movie, making friendship bracelets, and so much more! Take quizzes to find out what era you are, tell us about your desert island Taylor Swift songs, and show off your Swiftie knowledge at trivia! Feel free to come in costume or dress on theme!

Join us for another year with the Polar Express at Morgenstern Books!
