The Waldron Arts Center announces new July exhibitions: At Home in Bloomington

Opening this Friday, July 3, are two new shows at the Waldron Art Center. In the Spotlight Gallery, artist M. Griffin takes viewers through abstractions rooted in their own coming of age, experience of living in Bloomington, and the existential journey that is finding yourself a place in the world. Griffin’s deeply rich color choices, along with their use of found materials, create a rich landscape for meditation on that distinct period of life that is your early 20s.

In the Rosemary P. Miller and Educational Galleries, participating artists from both the 2025 and 2026 Mini Midwest Print Fest and Big Steamroller Show bring their work for an educational and uplifting show. The large prints feature distinctive styles and varied messaging, creating a rich viewing experience. On display will be photos from the events, advertising materials made for the events by local printmakers, carved block, and, of course, the prints themselves!

The evening will include music from DJ Bryce Martin. Join us this Friday, July 3, from 5-8pm, for a cool down from this blazing hot weather!
