The Live Aloha Keiki Club: Spreading Joy Through Art This Fall

​At The Hawaiian Hoosier, our Live Aloha Keiki (Kids) Club is dedicated to teaching the importance of community and kindness, encouraging children to make small yet meaningful contributions. Every month, the club hosts a new activity designed to help young participants connect with their community in positive ways. This November, we’re excited to bring a little extra warmth to the season by encouraging children to spread joy through their artwork.

For this November’s project, we're asking Keiki Club members to create five cheerful fall-themed drawings that reflect what they’re thankful for. Whether it’s colorful leaves, pumpkins, cozy sweaters, or family gatherings, these happy images will be collected at The Hawaiian Hoosier at 120 W Temperance St in Ellettsville. For every five drawings turned in, the little artist will receive a special reward as a thank-you for their contribution. Each picture will then be shared with residents of local Assisted Living Facilities, helping to bring smiles and a sense of connection to those who may need a little extra brightness in their day.

The Live Aloha Keiki Club believes that making a difference doesn’t always require big resources or a lot of time. This activity is perfect for kids who want to give back from the comfort of their homes without spending any money. It's a simple act of kindness that carries a huge impact, illustrating that even the youngest members of our community can spread happiness and make the world a little brighter.

Through monthly projects like this, the Live Aloha Keiki Club continues to inspire local youth to live with aloha—sharing gratitude, compassion, and joy. We hope to see lots of colorful creations this month and look forward to spreading those smiles all around.
