Jill Bond, news director of The Herald-Times, is one of the six speakers scheduled to participate in this year's TEDx IU event. She will deliver the talk "Why you should read your local newspaper: How to become a better neighbor and a better citizen" at the Buskirk Chumley Theater on Friday, Feb. 21. The theme of this year's speaker series is "Tipping Point." The event begins at 6 p.m. and costs $9 for students and $25 for general admission.
