Episodes will be available to watch or stream every Thursday at 8 p.m.WTIU Public Television’s travel series Journey Indiana is back this month with brand-new episodes that highlight the best of the Hoosier state. Season 7 premieres on Thursday, May 22 at 8 p.m. with a celebration of Indiana’s great outdoors. In the first episode, the Journey Indiana team travels around the state to explore the rolling hills of Brown County State Park, tours the Limberlost Swamp and State Historic Site, and explores an underground mountain in Wyandotte Cave. The program also includes a profile of pioneering Hoosier botanist Charles C. Deam. Then on Thursday, May 29, Journey Indiana spotlights Columbus, Indiana with features on the city’s architectural wonders, the story of a local man who turned the tide of the Civil War, Zaharakos’ soda fountain, and a one-of-a-kind sculptor.
Upcoming episodes in season 7 will cover Gary, Muncie, South Bend, Parke and Orange counties, Indianapolis’s cultural districts, Indiana mysteries, profiles of famous Hoosiers, wild places, roadside attractions, and things that are made in Indiana. Journey Indiana airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on WTIU and is available to stream for free on the PBS app. Learn more on the program’s website, journeyindiana.org.
