September 16: Health + Wellness Book Club, 7 – 8 pm

A monthly book club hosted by the co-founders of the Blooming Zone Initiative, exploring how we can improve our health and that of the Bloomington community at the same time. Dan Buettner’s The Blue Zones: 9 Lessons for Living Longer from the People Who’ve Lived the Longest will be heavily referenced.

September 17: Weird Fiction Book Club, 7 – 8 pm

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Weird Fiction Book Club, led by fiction expert and trivia host, Harrison! The read for September is James by Percival Everett. **September’s meeting will be on a TUESDAY, rather than the typical Wednesday

September 18: Author Nathaniel Rudavsky-Brody, 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Join us in the Morgenstern Books café for an evening in conversation with local author Nathaniel Rudavsky-Brody, discussing his book of poetry, A Dire Shortage of Usable Meaning.

Eat cake. Drink tea. Talk about Death. Hosted by musician and hospice chaplain, Rick Clayton, held at Morgenstern Books.

September 25: Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club, 7 – 8 pm

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club, led by sci-fi, fantasy, folklore and mythology specialist, Matthew! The read for September is Spear by Nicola Griffith.

September 28: Family Night: The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, 6 – 7 pm

Constellation for Kids is partnering with us for this month’s Family Night! Come hear The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, read by cast and crew from Constellation! Make a craft, have a snack, and enjoy some time in the Morgenstern Books children’s department!
