Morgenstern Books Events for February 1st – 15th

Feb. 1st, Saturday, 10:00 – 11:00 am | Multicultural Story Hour

Morgenstern Books is partnered with the IU Cognitive Development Lab to bring you Multicultural Story Hour. Come join us in the children’s department once a month for stories in different languages! The featured language for February is Mandarin, but we will have readings in English as well!

Feb. 3rd, Monday, 6:00 – 8:00 pm | Camp Indigo Point Information Session at Morgenstern Books

Camp Indigo Point is a 2-week residential summer camp in Illinois providing LGBTQ+ youth a safe community where kids get to have fun, build lasting friendships, take risks, and build joy. Please join us at Morgenstern Books this evening for an informational session to learn more and support the camp!

Feb. 5th, Wednesday, 7:00 – 8:00 pm | Wholehearted Book Club

The monthly meeting of the Wholehearted Book Club is led by Bloomington yogi Molly McDonald and is hosted by Morgenstern Books. In February, they will be discussing the book Wintering by Katherine May.

Feb. 10th, Monday, 7:00 – 8:00 pm | Murder Mystery Book Club​

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Murder Mystery Book Club is led by bookseller and mystery/thriller enthusiast, Grace! The read for February is The Noh Mask Murder by Akimitsu Takagi.

Feb. 13th, Thursday, 6:00 – 7:00 pm | Author Michael Weinman at Morgenstern Books

Morgenstern Books is excited to host author Michael Weinman for an evening in conversation with Bloomington’s own Jeffrey Isaac (you may recognize him from our monthly Jazz Salon with the Postmodern Jazz Quartet!). the two will be discussing Weinman’s book, Hannah Arendt and Politics. Be sure to stop by to listen to the two speak!

Feb 14th, Friday, 7:00 – 9:00 pm | Friday Nights at Morgenstern Books: Galentine’s Get-Together

Join us at Morgenstern Books on Valentines night for a Galentine’s Get-Together with your gal pals! We’ll make friendship bracelets, have blind dates with a book, and café specials! If you’re in the spirit, come early and join the Romance Book Club as they discuss The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love by India Holton. Book club starts at 6pm!
