Feb. 16, 4:00 – 5:00 pm, Young Readers Book Club​

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Young Readers Book Club is hosted by local teacher Ms. Margaret. The read for February is Warriors: Into the Wild by Erin Hunter. 

​Feb. 17, 7:00 – 8:00, Health + Wellness Book Club

The Health + Wellness Book Club is presented by the founders of the Blooming Zone Initiative, Bridgett DiVohl and Cynthia Schultz. This book club explores how we can improve our health and that of the Bloomington community at the same time. The read for 2025 is The Longevity Solution: Rediscovering Centuries-Old Secrets to a Healthy, Long Life by James Dinicolantonio. 

Feb. 19, 7:00 – 8:00 pm, Weird Fiction Book Club

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Weird Fiction Book Club is hosted by fiction expert and teacher, Harrison. The read for February is Concerning the Future of Souls by Joy Williams.

Feb. 20, all day, Closed for Inventory​

Morgenstern Books will be closed all day Thursday, February 20th, for our annual inventory. We will reopen Friday morning, the 21st, at 8:30 am.

Feb. 21, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Postmodern Jazz Quartet

Join us in the Morgenstern Books café for our monthly Jazz Quartet with the Postmodern Jazz Quartet. Relax in our café with a glass of wine and enjoy the live music!

Feb. 22, 6:00 – 7:00, Family Night ​

Join us in the Morgenstern Books children’s department for our monthly Family Night! There will be story time, snacks, and activities!

Feb. 25, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Death Café

Eat cake. Drink tea. Talk about Death. A Death Café is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. The Bloomington chapter is hosted by Rick Clayton, a hospice chaplain and musician who enjoys playing harp and cello for his clients. It meets monthly at Morgenstern Books. 

Feb. 26, 7:00 – 8:00 pm, Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club

The monthly meeting of the Morgenstern Books Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club is hosted by sci-fi, fantasy, folklore & mythology specialist, Matthew. The read for February is This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone.

Feb. 28, 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Author Event: Samrat Upadhyay​

Morgenstern Books is excited to host author Samrat Upadhyay for an evening in conversation with IU professor Christoph Irmscher to discuss his book, Darkmotherland!
