The Garatoni School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation is hosting another installation in their series of mini conferences for aspiring entrepreneurs and retail business ownersThe Garatoni School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington is hosting a mini conference, Entrepreneur This: Retail Business, on April 9 and is free and open to the public. The event is an opportunity for retail business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to find out about local resources for success and to network. It will be held at Ivy Tech Bloomington in Shreve Hall from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Each session will focus on a specific sector, including retail business, trades, culinary, and more. Sessions will provide information on ways to turn business ideas into reality. Attendees will hear from local business owners, including Talia Halliday of Gather and Oak; Sam Eibling, Goods for Cooks and Bloomington Yoga Co.; Jenna Bowman, Morgenstern Books; and Lisa Orme, Lola and Company.
They will also hear from representatives with Downtown Bloomington, Inc. the City of Bloomington, Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC), Owen County State Bank, and CDFI Friendly Bloomington. The event is hosted by Ivy Tech Bloomington’s Garatoni School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in collaboration with the Cook Center for Entrepreneurship that provides free business consulting to area residents, and ISBDC. Ivy Tech Bloomington was named Entrepreneurial College of the Year by NACCE, recognizing the campus for helping to shape the future of entrepreneurship education.
