Event: Stand-Up for Disabilities

Description: Back for its second year, Stand-Up for Disabilities is coming to the BCT and you absolutely can’t miss it! This professional comedy show brings top-notch talent to Bloomington, guaranteeing laughs that will leave your sides aching. Every penny of profit goes directly to Down Syndrome Family Connection, supporting families with vital resources, education, and financial assistance. Join us for a night of hilarity and heartwarming moments – come for the comedy, stay for the cause, and leave with a smile that lasts longer than your popcorn!

​This is a comedy show for anyone over the age of 18. It contains adult content and language.

There will be a private meet and greet on the stage (15 minutes) where sponsors and some VIP ticket holders get the chance to take photographs with the headliners.

Event: Out of Eden: Tribute to the Eagles

Description: Out of Eden is a 6 piece tribute band based out of Northeast Ohio who have replicated the music and vocal harmonies of the legendary EAGLES: Don Henley and Joe Walsh. All The Eagles classic songs are performed with amazing talent, drive, and skill by the Out of Eden band members.

Event: Rosanne Cash

Description: This event is sold out!
​One of the country’s pre-eminent singer-songwriters, Rosanne Cash has released 15 albums of extraordinary songs that have earned four Grammy Awards and 12 additional nominations. Late last year, Rosanne and her husband, guitarist John Leventhal (6 Grammys), also her songwriting, producing and performing partner launched a new record label, Rumble Strip Records to reexamine and rerelease Rosanne's early period recordings originally on Columbia/Sony Music. A 30th Anniversary remastered edition of the Cash/Leventhal produced album The Wheel was the inaugural release followed by John Leventhal's very first solo album entitled Rumble Strip in late January.

​Some songs from both these releases will be featured on tour at their concerts this summer.

Event: Live @ BCT: Mourning Star and Seventh Cloud

Description: Engage yourself in a listening room experience live at Buskirk-Chumley Theater. This program invites the community to appreciate diverse sounds and expressions of Bloomington’s talented creatives and artists.

$1 from each “Live at Buskirk-Chumley Theater” ticket sale will benefit a local nonprofit or cause. Proceeds from August’s show will be donated to Indiana Recovery Alliance, a drug-user human rights advocacy organization that operates under the philosophy of harm reduction to educate the community and to promote the health and dignity of the individuals and communities impacted by drug use. Mourning Star is a 5-piece stargaze band hailing from the Bloomington college scene. mourning star began their extra-terrestrial take over in February of 2024. They combine dreamy landscapes of sound with loud abrasive noise like a chainsaw cutting through a flower. Experimenting with different sounds, visual performance, and instrumentation; every mourning star show is a little bit different!

Fort Wayne alternative rock band, Seventh Cloud, consists of five members creating a range of noise from traditional shoegaze to a heavier take on dream pop.

Event: Summer Jam 2024: Glow in the Dark Party
Date/Time: Friday, August 30th, 2024 @ 6:30pm
Venue: Buskirk-Chumley Theater 114 E Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN 47408

Description:
1. Theme: Summer Jam 2024 Glow In The Dark Party is a vibrant and futuristic atmosphere with a neon theme. We encourage our guests to dress in glow-in-the-dark outfits and provide glow sticks or neon accessories for everyone.

2. Decorations: We will have black lights throughout the venue to make everything glow. Use neon-colored balloons, and streamers, to enhance the party's ambiance.

3. Lighting: We will have for sale glow sticks and disco balls to add to the party's energetic vibe. Consider using LED Foam Stick, LED Noodle Hair, and fairy lights to create a mesmerizing glow around the event.

4. Music: Booked a live DJ with a mix of talented live hip hop and rock acts to keep the crowd entertained all night long. We made sure to choose artists who can bring high energy and get everyone moving to the beat.

5. Concessions: You need to be 21 and up to drink alcohol. We will have some delicious drinks and snacks.

6. Activities: Let’s Make IU The Number 1 Party School In The Country Again
