The ServSafe program is the restaurant and food service industry's leading food safety training solution. Ivy Tech offers this course in two, half-day sessions. It is designed to meet the requirements to pass the certification exam for food handlers.

PALS to Host Christmas with the Ponies

We could all use a little holiday cheer! Join us for Christmas with the Ponies at 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at People & Animal Learning Services (PALS). Masks and physical distancing are required.
​
The entry fee is $5/person (2 and under are free). Your entry fee includes a photo with a horse (photos will be posted on Facebook). There will be free take-home activity kits for kids and cookies for sale. Horse rides and grooming sessions are available at an additional cost; you must sign up and pay in advance at givebutter.com/PALSsignup. We can't wait to see you at the barn!

About PALS: PALS is a nonprofit therapeutic riding center located in Bloomington. We provide therapeutic horseback riding and unmounted equine activities to people with disabilities, veterans, senior citizens, and at-risk youth.

Three area students were named recipients of the City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Children and Youth’s (CSCY) sixth annual S.W.A.G.G.E.R. Awards on Thursday, November 5. Binford Elementary student Allan Eanes, and two Bloomington High School North students, Tara Ganguly and Fabrian Salcedo Paez were presented with this year’s S.W.A.G.G.E.R. Awards in a ceremony held virtually in accordance with current public health guidelines. The award presentation may be viewed here.  ​
