gener8tor is a turnkey platform for the creative economy which hosts nationally ranked accelerator programs to support early-stage local startups. gBETA, a gener8tor program, is a free seven-week accelerator program normally geared toward early stage start-ups but for the first time being offered to main street, small businesses.
This summer, gener8tor will expand our program offerings with gBETA Main Street: a free, seven-week business development program in partnership with the Indiana SBDC. Eligible businesses are:
The program will be hosted virtually to allow businesses from across the state to participate. The program will kick off on August 6, 2021. Applications are due by July 19th, 2021. The tumultuous conditions businesses faced this past year helped gBETA Indiana recognize that we have an opportunity to support our communities by applying our accelerator model to small businesses next door. Indiana businesses and residents affected by severe storms and flooding on June 18-19, 2021 can apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman announced today. Administrator Guzman made the loans available in response to a letter from Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb on July 2, requesting a disaster declaration by the SBA. Businesses and residents in the declared area can now apply for low-interest disaster loans from the SBA. The declaration covers Jefferson and Monroe counties, and the adjacent counties of Brown, Clark, Greene, Jackson, Jennings, Lawrence, Morgan, Owen, Ripley, Scott and Switzerland in Indiana; and Carroll and Trimble in Kentucky. Each of the 11 counties affirmed their participation in the Indiana Uplands READI application through formal resolutions provided by key entities across the region, including county commissions, city and town councils, school districts, and other entities. Eligible high school seniors must apply by August 12, 2021 The Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County (CFBMC) has opened its application for the 2022 Monroe County Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program. Lilly Endowment Community Scholars are awarded four-year, full-tuition scholarships to pursue baccalaureate degrees at colleges or universities in Indiana. The scholarship also includes up to $900 annually for required textbooks and equipment. In selecting the two recipients for the Monroe County Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, consideration is given to student activities and achievements, community and civic service, academic performance, and leadership potential. Eligible high school seniors have until Thursday, August 12, to submit applications to be considered for the scholarship program. |
