Ivy Tech Bloomington, in conjunction with Ivy Tech Lafayette, will be offering a 3-day SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP®) Boot Camp led by SHRM-certified instructors. The Boot Camp will be held June 11- June 13, 2025, from 8:00am-5:00pm. The course will be offered in person at the Ivy Tech Lafayette campus or virtually . The $1500 Boot Camp includes expert-led live instruction, online and print versions of the SHRM Learning System.

Students will cross the stage as they step into new careers or transfer to four-year collegesIvy Tech Community College Bloomington will host its annual Commencement Ceremony Friday, May 2 at 6 p.m. at the Indiana University Auditorium, where it will celebrate the Class of 2025. Approximately 1,431 graduates have earned 1,850 associate degrees and certificates.

“This fourth Magnet recognition is a powerful testament to the unwavering dedication and commitment to nursing excellence, continuous improvement, a collaborative practice environment, exceptional skills and compassionate care that our nurses demonstrate every single day,” says Bloomington Chief Nursing Officer Cindy Herrington, DNP, FNP. “It validates the culture of excellence we have cultivated and the profound impact our nurses have on the lives of our patients and their families. We are immensely proud of this recognition and the standard of care it represents.” The City of Bloomington will celebrate volunteers at the 2025 Be More Awards on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Presented by the City of Bloomington Volunteer Network, these awards honor individuals and groups who have made a lasting, positive impact on the Bloomington and Monroe County community.
